Design innovation
Mini-Factory is a project produced for an assignment called Design innovation where we were tasked with creating a game for the left-field collection.

Inspiration
First I looked for inspiration. Games featured in the left-field collection are known for being outlandish and different from the mainstream.
I decided I wanted to create a factory simulation game where you use an Xbox controller to control all of the machines in the factory at one time. Inspired by the hectic nature of games like Fall guys and Gang beasts.

Machine concepts
I created these sketches to concept all of the machines I had planned for the factory to get a basic game flow to function. All of these sketches ended up being included in the final demo of the game.

UI Considerations
Early on I was concerned about the project's potential readability being a bit to confusing for a game where everything is happening at one time. So I decided to include some spatial UI elements into the design where each of the machines would indicate what button must be pressed in order to activate the related machine.

Gameflow
Next, I moved on to consider the game flow. I mapped out what I considered a typical round of Mini-factory would look like using a flowchart.

Final prototype
I combined all the elements I had worked on into a final prototype of what I believed Mini-Factory would look like in-game.

Final product
All of these design steps built the final product of my Mini-Factory demo.
